THE PEOPLE OF ST. FRANCIS PARISH

Our members reflect diversity in socio-economic background, age, race, religious upbringing, and geographic origin. We see ourselves as a "melting pot" - a representation of the population of Wayne County. We experience ongoing change in our membership due in large part to military families who move in and out of the community. Long-time members continue to provide stability and a sense of tradition for our parish, while the inflow of new members stretches the parish to new and challenging horizons.

THE VESTRY OF ST. FRANCIS PARISH

The vestry of St. Francis Episcopal Church is itselected governing board. The rector presides at all meeting of the vestry. Vestry officers are the Senior Warden who is nominated by the rector, and the Junior Warden and Clerk, who are elected by the vestry. Vestry members sit on the "Commissions," the primary organizers of parish activities. Commission chairpersons report monthly to the vestry through these vestry liaisons. If the rector resigns or is otherwise unable to perform his duties, the vestry elects and calls a rector.
