Children's Christmas Party 2008 ~ Members of St Francis donated gifts containing cloths and toys to the Hispanic youth of the parish. A Christmas party was held in their honor on December 21, 2008. Christmas Pageant 2008 #2 ~ By special request, the youth of St Francis repeated their pervious performance of Jesus' bith at the 10:30 am service on December 21, 2008. To see more photos of the event, click here.
Christmas Pageant 2008 ~ As part of the Wednesday evening Advent Series, the youth of St. Francis put on a pageant in the church. The story of Jesus birth was read by Laura Kelly. Later some Angels, shepard's and the 3 wisemen came to see him. Following the pageant, the children and adult's enjoyed hot chocolate and Christmas cookies together. Afterwards they sang Christmas songs to close out the evening. To see more photos of the event, click here.
Christmas in the Forest 2008 ~ St Francis held it's 30th annual Christmas in the Forest November 7 and 8, 2008. This year 17 vendors participated in the event. To viwe phots of the event, click here.

Blessing of the Animals - The Reverend Dr. Albert O. Vannorsdall, Priest-in-Charge of St Francis, blesses an animal at the the Blessing of the Animals held October 4, 2008 in the garden at St Francis. To see more photos of the event, click here.
Blessing of the Animals Art - Children of St Francis created some Art that was shared with others at the Blessing of the Animals on October 4, 2008. Sarah Merritt and Barrett Parker lead the children in creating their master pieces. To check out the art, click here.

Parish Pot Luck Supper and Presentation - The Rev'd Canon Matthew Stockard spoke with members of St. Francis on Congregational Development & Healthy Churches. Canon Stockard is Canon to the Ordinary of the Diocese of Eastern North Carolina. To view more photos of the event, click here.
Agape Fellowship - Members of St Francis gathered together July 23, 2008 for an Agape Fellowship Meal. “Agape” is the New Testaments Greek word for “self-giving love”. In the Christian tradition and “Agape” is also the name for informal meals and times of togetherness and mutual sharing reminding us of all those meals Jesus shared with his friends and the unity that His Spirit continues to give us. Deacon's Mass - The Rev. Deacon Mary Reese greets Kitty and Frank Boseman on Sunday July 20th after the 10:30 am service. Deacon Reese celebrated her first Deacon's Mass at the 8:30 and 10:30 services. St Francis is so fortunate to celebrate with her on her new calling to the church. MAD HATTER TEA PARTY - Ladies of St Francis and the Goldsboro community gather together to hold a Mad Hatter Tea Party on June 7, 2008. The event was to honor St. Francis mothers and babies. The money raised from the event will go to provide basic medical care, supplies and clean water for mothers and children in developing countries. This is all part of the Millennium Development Goals. Project Christ Child 2007 -- Father Tony (center) talks with Hispanic members of our church during the Project Christ Child Christmas party in the Parish Hall. Each child received a bag of clothing and toys purchased by members of our congregation. The children were well behaved and had smiles that went from side-to-side. The parents could not express enough thanks for what St. Francis has done for them. To view more photos of the event click here.

Your Last Best Gift -- St Francis conducted a workshop for the community on how to prepare your last wishes for your family. The workshop included topics on Law, Medical and Religious services. All participants were given a notebook created by the Communications Commission of St. Francis. If you would like to learn more about "Your Last Best Gift",click here.
